Sandra Bullock enjoys being a bitch
Sandra Bullock, star of upcoming romantic comedy ‘The Proposal’, has revealed she has had enough of romantic comedies and that it would be her last.
The 44-year-old actress has acted in many movies in the genre over the years, dating back to 1995’s ‘While you were sleeping’ but has confirmed that the time has come to move on. During an interview for USA Today, Bullock said “They’re not funny, they’re not romantic, and they’re not written well for women anymore.”It was basically all crap. I did the last good one. I’m done.”
The new movie, which is due for general release in July, tells the story of when a pushy boss forces her young assistant to marry her in order to keep her Visa status in the U.S. and avoid deportation to Canada.
Bullock has also admitted that when she received the script, she did not want to do another RomCom and turned the project down several times before finally accepting after reading the script. She said “Surprisingly, it piqued my interest. Being nice and adorable isn’t funny. I enjoyed being a bitch. Everyone does. They are always better written and it’s a relief”.
