Seth MacFarlane, the creator of successful animated TV comedy ‘Family Guy’, has revealed that 20th Century Fox are in the early stages of making the shows first feature film.
He has admitted however that although he already has a story idea for the movie and that both he and Fox are keen to move forward with the project, time is currently the enemy that will delay its completion.
He is quoted as saying “The workload for an animated show is twice as much as you have to do for live-action and this is exactly the reason why the creators of ‘The Simpsons’ took so many years to do theirs. It wasn’t because they didn’t know what they wanted to do with it, they just couldn’t fit it into the schedule”.
The movie does not yet have a predicted date of release but it is expected to still be several years away.
